Over 1 Million Voters Don Collect PVC For Ekiti Governorship Election – INEC
Ahead of the Ekiti State governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) don reveal say a total of 1.02 million Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) don already dey collected by eligible voters across the state.
According to reports from The Punch, Vanguard and other news outlets, the electoral body say the high number of PVC collection show say many residents dey ready to participate for the election process.
INEC officials reportedly urge the remaining registered voters wey never collect their PVCs to do so before the deadline, stressing say na only people wey get valid voter cards go fit cast their votes on election day.
The commission also reassure residents say preparations for the election dey on top gear, with efforts ongoing to ensure a free, fair and credible poll across all local government areas of the state.
Political observers believe say the large number of collected PVCs fit translate to higher voter turnout as political parties continue their campaigns and mobilization across Ekiti.
As election day dey draw near, INEC don call on voters to remain peaceful, obey electoral guidelines and reject any form of violence or vote-buying during the exercise.
