NLC say the current minimum wage of ₦70,000 don lose plenty of im value because of rising cost of living, while the price of food, transportation and other basic needs continue to put pressure on workers.
Meanwhile, TUC don also raise alarm over insecurity, rising living costs, poor workers’ welfare and unresolved labour disputes. According to Tribune Online, the union dey call for urgent government action instead of promises without clear results.
The labour unions dey insist say government must take practical steps to improve workers’ welfare and reduce the hardship wey Nigerians dey face.
As the pressure dey mount, Nigerians dey watch to see whether government go address the demands or the matter go turn to another nationwide labour showdown.
