WAEC Don Release 2026 Result as Over 1.2 Million Students Pass English, Maths
West African Examinations Council (WAEC) don officially release the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result, with over 1.2 million candidates scoring credit pass for both English Language and Mathematics.
WAEC make the announcement during one press briefing, saying plenty students perform well despite the different challenges wey happen during the examination period.
According to the examination body, the candidates wey get at least five credits, including English and Mathematics, don qualify to apply for admission into universities, polytechnics and other higher institutions across Nigeria.
WAEC still reveal say dem withhold some candidates’ results because of alleged examination malpractice. Dem explain say investigations still dey go on, and anybody wey result dey affected go know the final decision after the review process.
The council advise candidates make dem check their results through WAEC official result-checking portal with their examination number and result checker PIN.
Since the results come out, many students and parents don flood social media to celebrate success, while others dey pray make WAEC clear the withheld results as soon as possible.
