The University of Lagos (UNILAG) don send strong warning to all candidates wey go write the 2026/2027 Post-UTME aptitude test, say anybody wey involve for exam malpractice or break the examination guidelines go face serious punishment.

For statement wey the university release, management urge candidates make dem obey all the rules wey guide the screening exercise, warning say any form of cheating, impersonation, use of unauthorized materials or misconduct no go be tolerated.

UNILAG also advise candidates make dem arrive their examination centres early, follow all instructions from officials, and avoid carrying prohibited items, adding say the institution don put adequate measures in place to ensure the screening process remains transparent and credible.

As reported by The Punch, many Nigerian universities don continue to tighten security around Post-UTME examinations to curb malpractice and protect the integrity of their admission process. The report note say institutions now deploy biometric verification and other technology-driven measures to detect impersonation and other examination offences.

Daily Trust also report say education stakeholders don repeatedly advise admission seekers to avoid shortcuts, stressing say anyone caught engaging in examination malpractice risks disqualification and possible prosecution under existing laws.

Similarly, Channels Television don report in previous years say universities across Nigeria don continue to intensify efforts against exam fraud as part of moves to maintain academic standards and ensure only qualified candidates gain admission.

UNILAG come encourage all candidates make dem prepare well for the examination and rely on hard work instead of any illegal means, insisting say only merit go determine admission into the institution.
