Trump Wan Rename Strait of Hormuz to “Trump Strait”

US President Donald Trump don enter another level of geographical rebranding after he suggest say the famous Strait of Hormuz fit soon get new name — “Trump Strait.”

Trump make the suggestion for him Truth Social page on Wednesday, September 2, claiming say the United States don take control of the strategic waterway.

According to reports from other media outfit, Trump ask: “Now that we have it under U.S.A. control, should we change the name Hormuz Strait to TRUMP STRAIT?”

The US President even add say the new name go make the waterway “hotter” than ever before — a comment coming at a time when tensions between America and Iran don seriously increase.

The Strait of Hormuz no be ordinary waterway. Na one of the most important routes for global oil and gas transportation, with about one-fifth of the world’s petroleum supply traditionally passing through the area.

Trump’s latest suggestion also follow a pattern. He previously pushed for the Gulf of Mexico to be called the “Gulf of America”, while another recent proposal involved renaming Lake Ontario as “Lake America.”

But for now, make nobody rush go change atlas or Google Maps yet. “Strait of Hormuz” still remain the internationally recognised name, while Trump’s “Trump Strait” idea remains a proposal.

As tensions continue between the US and Iran, one question dey remain: na the waterway Trump wan control, or na the name he wan control first? 😄
