TFAA @ 20: Future Awards Africa Don Open Nomination To Find Africa Next Big Changemakers

As young Africans continue dey break new ground for technology, business, entertainment and innovation, The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) don officially open nominations for im special 20th anniversary edition.

According to statement wey organisers release on June 11, the award platform, wey many media houses like BusinessDay, The Guardian Nigeria and ThisDay don describe as one of Africa’s biggest platforms for celebrating young achievers, dey call on the public to nominate outstanding young Africans wey dey make impact for different sectors across the continent.

Since e start for 2006, TFAA don build strong reputation for recognising young people wey dey excel for business, governance, entertainment, technology, media and public service.

For this special 20th edition, the organisers say dem go focus on a new generation of Africans wey dey use technology, creativity and innovation take solve problems, create opportunities and change the narrative for Africa.

Speaking about the anniversary edition, Executive Director of The Future Awards Africa, Ayodeji Razaq, say the awards na more than just a ceremony.

“From the beginning, TFAA never be just award event. Na movement wey dey remind young Africans say dem be the future and say greatness no dey far from them. As we celebrate 20 years, we dey honour a generation wey dey boldly redefine wetin possible through technology, creativity and innovation,” he talk.

To mark the milestone, TFAA don introduce five new categories, including Energy and Sustainability, Creative Excellence, Technology and Innovation, Comedy Content Creation, and Lifestyle Content Creation.

According to the organisers, the new categories go shine light on young leaders, creators and innovators wey dey use modern ideas and technology to transform industries and communities across Africa.

The public fit nominate outstanding young Africans between 18 and 35 years wey dey make positive impact for society through the official nomination portal.

Nomination go officially close on July 10, 2026.

For the past 20 years, The Future Awards Africa don celebrate several young Africans wey later become influential names for business, entertainment, technology and leadership.

As Africa youth population continue to grow, many observers believe say platforms like TFAA remain important for discovering and celebrating the continent’s next generation of leaders and changemakers.
