Lagos State High Court don order social media critic Martin Otse, wey dem sabi as VeryDarkMan, make e remove defamatory comments and videos wey concern lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN) and im son, Folarin (Falz). The court also rule say VeryDarkMan go pay N500 million as damages for libel, as dem talk for the pre-action judgment.

Justice M. O. Idowu na im deliver the ruling for case no: ID/8584/GCM/2024 on Tuesday. The court find say VeryDarkMan’s social media posts from September 24, 2024, wey link Bobrisky to Falz and im papa, na defamatory and e dey harm their public image.

The judge talk say, “According to the applicants (Falz and Falana), the defendant (VeryDarkMan) sabi say these statements (Bobrisky’s claims) no be true, but e still go publish am to damage their reputation. Furthermore, the defamatory statements still dey trend for the defendant (VeryDarkMan)’s plenty online platforms, and the injury to their reputation go continue as long as the publication dey online.”
