Na serious enforcement don start for Asaba! Delta State Police Command don impound 10 vehicles as the newly launched Operation Velvet begins across the state.

According to The Sun, the operation, led by Delta Commissioner of Police CP Samuel Etaifo Erale, targets vehicles wey no get valid documents, vehicles without proper number plates, and plates wey dem cover, deface or alter.

Police say the 10 vehicles wey dem seize for Asaba don go mobile court and their cases dey undergo judicial process.

The Guardian also reports say the operation comes after police raised alarm over more than 50 deaths from road crashes and other preventable incidents across Delta between July and September.

Police don advise motorists make dem regularise their documents and drive responsibly, as Operation Velvet dey continue across Delta State.
