The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, don talk say e don recover ₦1.233 trillion from proceeds of crime and secure 10,872 convictions within 34 months under the leadership of Chairman Ola Olukoyede.

According to reports by Punch and Premium Times, the figures cover the period between October 2023 and July 2026.

EFCC also reveal say e receive 49,673 petitions, investigate 39,615 cases and take 14,476 cases to court during the period.

The commission say ₦397.26 billion of the recovered naira was recovered directly for the Federal Government, while the remaining ₦836.34 billion was recovered for other beneficiaries, including government agencies, companies and individuals.

Apart from the money, EFCC say courts also grant forfeiture orders covering 10,053 assets, including properties, vehicles, electronics, land and other valuables.

Olukoyede say the commission go continue to focus on turning investigations and recoveries into actual benefits for Nigerians.
