Senator Adams Oshiomhole don throw serious question at former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, over im claim say e leave about $150 million for Anambra State treasury after im tenure.
According to reports by other news outfit, Oshiomhole ask how Obi take gather the dollar savings when Federal Government dey pay state allocations in naira.
Oshiomhole talk say when e and Obi dey National Economic Council, governors don propose make dem receive their allocations in dollars because of the difference between official and market exchange rates, but Federal Government reject the idea.
“So all the allocations we receive are in naira. So I ask Obi, where you get dollars to save?” Oshiomhole question am during interview with Symfoni TV.
The former Edo State governor also challenge Obi claim say e no borrow money during im time as governor, arguing say World Bank facilities still be loans even when government postpone repayment.
Obi, wey rule Anambra from 2006 to 2014, don consistently defend im financial record, insisting say e no leave the state under debt burden.
