Police Arrest 17 People for Bauchi Over Witchcraft Allegation and Violent Attack

Police for Bauchi State don arrest 17 people over one violent incident wey happen after dem accuse one man of witchcraft.

According to reports by Nigerian news outlets, the wahala start after one 20-year-old man, Halilu Ahmad, die for Gobirawa Village, Alkaleri Local Government Area. The suspects allegedly accuse the dead man brother of using witchcraft cause the death, before dem attack the family with machetes and sticks.

The attack reportedly leave the 60-year-old father and his 30-year-old son with injuries.

Police say dem still dey search for three other suspects, while dem don transfer the case go State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

The Commissioner of Police don warn residents say make dem no take law into their own hands because of unverified allegations.
