Paul Nwosu, wey be state commissioner for information, tok say some parents still dey carry their pikin go street go beg, even though Governor Chukwuma Soludo don bring free education for Anambra.

For Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Nwosu yarn for one statement say, “No reason dey why these children no suppose dey school, instead dem dey waka up and down under Aroma flyover and other city centers like say dem no get where to go.”

The commissioner call this thing wahala, as e dey stop Anambra government effort to modernize and bring better development for the state.

The statement talk say, β€œE dey very disturbing to see healthy children wey suppose dey school, but dem dey use dem as beggars for bus stop, road junction, and for streets.”

“Time don reach for all those stubborn parents wey dey release their pikin for this bad practice to stop.”

β€œThis thing na stain for Governor Soludo effort wey e don dey make to fix our major cities and urban centres.”

Nwosu stress say these children suppose dey enjoy free education for school, and government go soon begin pursue parents wey their pikin dey beg for street.

He tok say, “Parents and the people wey dey use these children to beg for street suppose remember say law dey wey don ban child begging and prostitution.”

β€œFrom now on, government go arrange better plan with agencies to stop this matter for good. The children suppose dey for school dey enjoy the free education wey Governor Soludo don provide, instead of begging for street and giving the money to adults.”

For May 2024, during Children’s Day celebration for Awka’s Alex Ekwueme Square, Soludo yarn say Anambra state get the lowest number of children between 6 and 15 years wey no dey go school for Nigeria.
