Ratcliffe Slams Man Utd Stars, Admits Past Mistakes

March 11, 2025

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has criticized several of the club’s players as “not good enough” and “overpaid” amid ongoing struggles at Old Trafford. The British billionaire, who took charge of football operations in February last year, named Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, and Antony as key concerns, with Sancho and Antony currently on loan.

Ratcliffe admitted past errors, including keeping Erik ten Hag as manager and hiring Dan Ashworth as sporting director. Despite United’s poor form under current boss Ruben Amorim, Ratcliffe expressed confidence in him and promised squad reinforcements. He also defended cost-cutting measures, stressing his commitment to restoring United’s glory and aiming for a Premier League title by 2028.
