The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has turned down a ₦30 million cash donation offered by Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, during a church crusade in the state. The donation was announced at the Kebbi Healing and Deliverance Crusade by the state’s Commissioner for Social Duties, Zayyanu Umar Aliero, who presented the cash on behalf of the governor.

Pastor Enenche, however, declined the offer, asking that the money be used instead for charitable purposes such as supporting orphanages. He stressed that government funds should be reserved for public projects, not church activities, and advised that if the donation must be made, it should go through official religious bodies like the Christian Association of Nigeria or the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

Enenche explained that the church relies on God for its provisions and seeks to maintain its independence to speak the truth when necessary. Aliero later acknowledged and respected the pastor’s position.
