NNPC Ltd don announce say fuel stations go dey operate longer hours to help supply and distribution of petrol. Dem call on fuel stations to make sure say fuel dey available well well, as the current situation tight.

NNPC Ltd Executive Vice President, Downstream, Mr. Dapo Segun, talk this one during a joint inspection of fuel stations by NNPC Ltd and Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) officials. He add say dem go elongate the turnaround period of PMS trucking to ease the situation wey people dey experience.

NNPC Ltd explain say the fuel queues wey dey FCT and some other parts of the country na because of disruption of ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of fuel between Mother Vessels and Daughter Vessels, wey adverse weather conditions like rainstorm and lightning cause. This bad weather affect berthing at jetties, truck load-outs, and transportation of products go filling stations.

Meanwhile, National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Abubakar Maigandi, dey accuse private depot owners for the emerging queues for petrol stations for Lagos and other states. He say dem get petroleum products but dem dey sell am for N715 per liter ex-depot price.
