Nigeria has climbed one spot to 43rd in the latest FIFA rankings, as announced by the world football governing body on Thursday. The Super Eagles, who ended 2024 in 44th place, saw their ranking improve following their recent victory over Rwanda in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Argentina retained the top position, followed by Spain in second and France in third. England and Brazil ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, completing the top five.
