Nigeria national power grid don experience partial collapse on Tuesday, with power generation drop to 0 MW between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., after e reach peak of 3,934.77 MW for morning and 2,711 MW around 1 p.m.
Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) don confirm di incident, as TCN spokesperson Ndidi Mbah explain say, “The national grid experienced a partial disturbance at about 1:52 pm today, 5th November 2024.” She add say di wahala happen because of “a series of line and generator trippings that caused instability in the grid and, consequently, the partial disturbance of the system.”
Mbah assure say dem don dey work to restore power quick quick. “Presently, bulk power supply has been restored to Abuja at 2:49 pm, and we are gradually restoring it to other parts of the country,” she talk, as she apologise to customers for di inconvenience.
