Italian club Napoli have turned down a €65m bid from Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, falling short of his €75m release clause, Corriere dello Sport reports.

Osimhen, 26, is currently on loan at Galatasaray without an option to buy. However, a special clause in his contract allows the Turkish club to sign him for €75m in January, while other clubs must pay €81m due to a €6m compensation fee.

The Nigerian forward has been in top form, scoring 16 goals and providing five assists in 20 appearances. Despite speculation, Osimhen has reaffirmed his commitment to staying at Galatasaray until the end of the season.
