Manchester United have reportedly begun discussions with representatives of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as they search for a top-tier forward ahead of next season. According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, Osimhen, currently on a dry loan from Napoli at Galatasaray, has scored 33 goals and provided 8 assists in 37 appearances this season.
Despite his stellar form, Galatasaray may not retain him permanently due to financial constraints. United, facing dissatisfaction with their current striking options, see the 26-year-old as a strong candidate—especially if a move for top target Victor Gyökeres falls through.
Osimhen, who previously rejected a €50 million offer from Al Hilal, is now drawing interest from Premier League clubs and Saudi side Neom, though he reportedly prefers a move to England. With Napoli’s asking price exceeding €75 million and the striker demanding €12 million annually, only a few clubs can afford the deal.
