Former President Goodluck Jonathan don dey call for peace and truce for the political crisis wey dey Rivers State wey involve Governor Siminalayi Fubara and him predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

As him dey speak for the flag-off of the Trans-Kalabari Road today, Jonathan describe the continuous battles between governors and their predecessors as worrisome, and him express concern over the political tension wey dey Rivers State.

“Outgoing governors and incoming governors must know that they work together for the collective interest of the state and that is critical,” he talk.

“For the case of Rivers, Honourable Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Sim Fubara must work together to develop the lands and people of Rivers State. The tension no go help.”

Jonathan don argue say the stability of the oil-rich state dey very important to the nation’s development, and him don urge both leaders to put aside their differences for the sake of the state’s progress.
