Erling Haaland, the striker for Manchester City, is poised to potentially secure the Premier League Player of the Season award for the second consecutive year, having been nominated in the shortlist alongside his City teammate Phil Foden.

Joining them in the shortlist are Arsenal midfielders Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, Chelsea forward Cole Palmer, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins, and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.

In the manager category, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, a four-time recipient of the award, has once again made the shortlist. He is joined by Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola.

The winners will be determined through a combination of public voting and input from a Premier League panel, with the announcement scheduled for May 18th.
