As Nigeria mark World Toilet Day 2025, Federal Government don drop one serious alarm say over 45 million Nigerians still dey practice open defecation, show say sanitation matter still far from better.

Dis year theme, “We’ll Always Need the Toilet,” reflect how climate change, fast urban growth, and inequality dey scatter toilet systems everywhere.
Lawal yan say toilet no be luxury.
“Toilet na lifesaver. E dey protect health, keep dignity, and save environment. But for Nigeria, over 45 million people still dey use outside as toilet,” him talk.
Di minister warn say lack of functional toilets for schools, markets, hospitals, and public places dey expose people to diseases like cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea, especially pikin wey never reach five years.
E still encourage private investors to enter di growing “toilet economy”, say sanitation business fit turn big opportunity if government and community join hand.
