Camavinga Out for Season with Groin Injury

April 24, 2025

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a groin injury during the club’s 1-0 La Liga victory over Getafe on Wednesday.

The club confirmed on Thursday that the 22-year-old French international sustained a complete rupture of the left adductor tendon.

Spanish media reports indicate Camavinga will miss Saturday’s Copa del Rey final against Barcelona and Madrid’s remaining five league fixtures. He is also at risk of missing the Club World Cup in the U.S. this summer, with an estimated recovery time of three months.

Camavinga, who was instrumental in Madrid’s league and Champions League success last season, has struggled with consistency this campaign.
